Tsopani is hosting a 3-day Clinic in collaboration with the Climb Clinic, certified IFMGA/AMGA guides and climbing coaches to help improve your movement in climbing. It’s focused entirely on how you move on rock.

Additionally this clinic will offer tips and progressions for anyone that wants to work towards the movement standard in their next AMGA Rock Program. This clinic is focused on movement specifically, not on gear placement, anchor building, or rope systems.

Aspiring guides & mountain professionals seeking technical progression (candidates should be comfortably leading traditional climbs at 5.8)

Clinic goal:
Strengthen movement fundamentals that underpin safe and efficient rock movement.

Itinerary

Day 1: Movement Fundamentals

Board session at The Climb Clinic:

  • Strength assessment

  • Muscle engagement

  • Efficient footwork

  • Movement economy

Afternoon at a crag:

  • Rock movement fundamentals

  • Route reading

  • Advanced body mechanics

Day 2: Crack Climbing + Mental Control

Outdoor climbing:

  • Crack movement mechanics

  • Progressive routes from 5.9–5.11

Mental training:

  • Breathing and visualization techniques

Day 3: Progression to Harder Grades

Focus:

  • Moving from comfortable climbing into harder grades.

Participants work on:

  • Leading progression

  • Efficiency under difficulty
